Our Best Campsites In Costa Dorada

Embrace the outdoors on a camping holiday in Costa Dorada, where al fresco activities number many and hours upon hours of glorious sunshine beat down on the beautiful landscape. Stunning sandy beaches and the gently lapping waves of the Mediterranean Sea are the feature of the coastline that stretches for 200km.

In the heart of the region, the historic city of Tarragona and its surrounding area make for an ideal base due to the gorgeous beaches, Roman ruins and quaint fishing towns that characterise the area. We have a fabulous choice of campsites around the region including the ever-popular Playa Montroig.

Some of our very best campsites on the Costa Dorada can be found nestled in lovely locations as we move up the coast towards the vibrant city of Barcelona. The lively resort of Torredembarra is packed with many family friendly amenities, and it’s here where you can stay at our much-loved Park Playa Bara and Creixell Beach Resort destinations.

Regardless of what resort you book a stay on, you can expect a warm welcome from the friendly and happy site staff who will be at your disposal for the duration of your stay. Enjoy first-rate accommodation and camping amenities when you stay with us.

Things to do when camping in Costa Dorada

Whether you prefer bathing in the hot sun on soft sandy beaches or venturing into beautiful natural landscapes, the Costa Dorada will suit your holiday type.

The coast is simply littered with wonderful beaches with gorgeous examples on show at Cala Font, Roda de Bara and Tamarit. Several well-developed resorts feature beach cafes, restaurants, shops and water sports providers.

In the hinterland of the region, walking trails in the sprawling wine country region offer you the chance for amiable ambles. A particularly scenic route will take you from Falest to Grattalops, passing by rolling vineyards and lush green vegetation. The network of trails at Llaberia Nature Reserve offer views of sweeping valleys and rocky peaks.

For a Costa Dorada city experience, there can be none better than Barcelona. Spend a day here rambling down Las Ramblas, appreciating the beauty of Gaudí’s buildings and getting lost in the gothic quarter. Football fans will revel in a guided tour around the famous Nou Camp stadium.

In Roman times, the city of Tarragona held importance and that significance can be felt in the Roman walls and amphitheatre that still proudly stand today. Other tourist attractions include Tarragona Cathedral, The Ferreres Aqueduct and the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona.

For kids, the amazing PortAventura theme park features numerous hair-raising rollercoasters and rides, and exciting attractions for all ages. Sublime slides and pools for splashing fun can be found at Aquopolis Costa Dorada, Aqualeon and PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park.
