The nearest beach to the town is Playa de Creixell, and can be described as less busy but no less pretty than other beaches nearby.

If you do, however, want to explore the beaches that are scattered on the shores of the Costa Dorada, you’ll find plenty of gorgeous stretches of sand with their own special character and charm. The best beaches to check out include Platja Altafulla, Playa de Tamarit, Cala La Mora Beach, Platja de Canyadell and Cala Jovera.

If you want to mix things up a little and plan a day trip to the city, your nearest option with be Tarragona, w wonderful city bursting with history and culture. It’s highly recommended to go there by car, and once in the city you can visit a whole host of interesting attractions including the El Serrallo Fisherman's Homes, Circ Romà Chariot Track Ruins, Roman amphitheatre ruins, the Ferreres Aqueduct and the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona.

Should a day trip to Tarragona leave you wanting more of the same, start your day early and head to Barcelona, a vibrant city that needs little introduction. The top sightseeing spots to stop by include the La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, the Cathedral of Barcelona, Park Güell, Casa Milà and the famous La Rambla street.
