Tips for camping vacations on the Costa de Prata

The North of Portugal is known for its beautiful nature and beloved city of Porto. The South is mainly known for its beautiful bays, lovely beaches and Albufeira with its vibrant nightlife. The west coast of Portugal, the Costa de Prata, is not yet so well known to big tourism and has a lot to offer. Here you can optimally enjoy the tranquility and unspoiled nature. The beaches have much to offer for all ages. The whole family will have fun on the beach near Nazaré, Praia de Nazaré. A lively beach, with all kinds of activities for children and a pleasant promenade. If you prefer to admire the rough sea, take a walk along the beach of Pão Pedro de Moel, a popular spot for locals and surfers.

For those looking for culture, there is nothing to be short of on the Costa de Prata. Be sure to visit the Santa Maria d'Alcobaça Monastery which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The combination of the material and special details make this 12th century monastery very impressive. Serra d'Aire e Candeeiros Nature Park offers a fun day out for the whole family. Walk through the beautiful nature or visit the stalactite caves. Did you know that you can also find a whole trail of dinosaur paw prints here! Between Fatimá and Torres Novas you can use a special path to admire these prints.

In addition to the beautiful beaches, the picturesque villages are also all worth visiting. From the cozy local markets to a walk through the medieval Óbodis with its beautiful city wall. A super versatile region, without the hustle and bustle of tourism. Is your next vacation going to the Silver Coast of Portugal?
