As we alluded to before, the Pyrénées National Park is an awesome place to explore on foot. Bring a sturdy pair of hiking boots and venture out into the heart of nature, enjoying dramatic views, enchanting woodland and scenic rivers.

Other worthwhile places to experience the gorgeous natural landscapes while walking or biking include the Pont d'Espagne, Col du Tourmalet, Cirque de Gavarnie and Gaube Lake.

Ride the cable car to the apex of Puy du Sancy where you will be rewarded with amazing vistas of the Massif Central Mountains. A trip underground at the caves of Pech Merle gives you the opportunity to see captivating prehistoric cave paintings.
