Located in the heart of the Dordogne Valley, Le Ventoulou campsite is a green and peaceful oasis between Rocamadour and Padirac. Here you will find everything you need for a great vacation. Enjoy the unspoiled nature, the historic architecture and the good cuisine of the region, but also all the facilities and services available at the campsite for young and old.
Water fun and activities at Le Ventoulou campsite
The campsite has a heated indoor swimming pool, a children's pool, a games room, a bar, a restaurant and a pizzeria. You can play table tennis, boccia and volleyball, have a good match on the multifunctional sports field or go for a walk on one of the marked hiking trails. There are many other options in the surrounding area, such as tennis, golf, horse riding, climbing, canoeing and kayaking etc. In high season, an entertainment team is on hand to keep the children entertained. In the children's club (5-12 years), children can take part in various activities and creative workshops. In high season there is also an evening program for adults.
Experiences near Camping Le Ventoulou
In the Dordogne Valley you will find the famous town of Rocamadour, built on a high cliff so that the town rises 150 meters above the Alzouda Valley. The Dordogne also boasts some of the most beautiful villages, castles, fortified towns, Romanesque churches and characteristic houses in France.
Visit Rocamadour in the morning, have lunch there and then visit the Lacave caves. Nice and cool in hot weather and also a good day trip in bad weather. A small train will take you into the cave. You will also be impressed by the huge natural cave "Gouffre de Padirac". A huge 103 meter deep hole in the ground leads you down to an underground river. There you can travel in a shallow boat through the labyrinth of the cave with fantastic rock formations, turquoise lakes, impressive chambers and galleries.
