Presentation of camping Séquoia Parc
Located not far from the bridge to the island of Oléron is Camping Séquoia Parc. This French five-star campsite in Nouvelle Aquitaine is only 5 kilometres away from the Atlantic Ocean and its beautiful sandy beaches. The campsite itself is also quite the sight: when you come up the tree-lined driveway, you’ll see La Josephtrie. This beautiful manor is the heart of Séquoia Parc.
The entire family can enjoy this swimming paradise with more than 2,000m2 of bathing water. There are four different pools, three of which are heated. The water park has beautiful rock formations, waterfalls, multiple slides, a water play zone and a separate baby pool to ensure everyone has a great time!
There is a separate area with all kinds of playground equipment suitable for your little ones. Surrounding the pool are decks on different levels with sunbeds on which you can relax in the sun or the shade. To fully unwind, there is a wonderful wellness and fitness centre with an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, hammam and beauty treatments available.
All done with swimming? There is a lot more to do on the campsite. The entertainment team organises activities for both young and old all day long. Of course you can also enjoy a game of tennis, miniature golf or shoot a few arrows at the archery range.
There are children’s clubs available for different ages, so that the kids can have fun all day! In the evening the campsite hosts shows or karaoke nights. Camping Séquoia Parc is a cosy family campground that offers something for everyone!
Manor La Josephtrie is the heart of the campsite. Here, you can find the store, entertainment centre and the restaurant. The old farm buildings surrounding the historic courtyard define the campsite’s atmosphere. The flowery square is the meeting place of Séquoia Parc.
The fantastic water park and beautiful manor draw people, but you can always relax in your own luxury mobile home. They are quiet and have a sunny patio. You can choose if you want air conditioning and choose a mobile home with one or two bathrooms. Prefer a luxury tent? Then you can choose the glamping experience in the Lodge Safari tent.
In the vicinity of Camping Séquoia Parc
There is plenty to do around the campsite. For example, you can visit the various islands nearby, see some of the cities and towns in the area or go to Zoo de la Palmyre, which is the largest privately owned zoo in France. Here, you can see more than 1,600 animals! You can even spot the flamingos from the road.
It is a lot of fun to take a day trip to the Oléron island. This island is connected to the mainland by bridge. A little further out is Ile de Ré, which can be reached via a (toll) bridge. If you want, you can easily combine this trip with a visit to the beautiful aquarium in La Rochelle. Between the two islands is the famous fortress of Boyard, which can be reached by boat.
If you have a car at your disposal and fancy a day trip, you can visit Nantes. It is only two hours north of the campsite. If you would rather go south, you can visit Bordeaux, which is also only two hours away. There is also the option to cycle in the area too, there are beautiful tours, assuring that you will not get bored during your fantastic vacation here at Camping Séquoia Parc!
