For exciting family days, the theme parks Terra Mitica and Terra Natura or the water parks Aqualandia and Mundomar are about 30 kilometres away. With their rich culture and history, the historic cities of Valencia and Alicante are perfect destinations for day trips. Particularly worth seeing are Valencia's old town with its imposing cathedral, the futuristic science and art complex Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias and the medieval fortress Castillo de Santa Bárbara in Alicante.
