Camping Le Suroit (Île de Ré)

The campsite is located about 600 meters away from the beach. An ideal location if you love beach vacations. Nice trips can be made to Les Jardins de la Boirie and Pole-Nature du Marais aux Oiseaux, among others. Explore the island of Île de Ré by bicycle, an unforgettable way to experience the beauty of 'Ré la blanche'. Start your tour at the citadel of Saint-Martin-de-Ré, a highlight in Poitou-Charentes, and paddle on to La Flotte to admire its charming 18th-century port. Then explore Rivedoux at its western end, past the Abbaye des Châteliers and the Redoute des Sablanceaux fortress. Don't miss the oldest village, Saint-Marie-de-Ré, with its pristine beaches and Gothic bell tower. End your tour in Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré, where you'll find the island's largest market and the wine coöperation, full of educational experiences about the production of pineau, wine and cognac. 

The sea is within walking distance, but you can also swim at the campsite. The water park consists of two large pools, one of which is covered and has a jacuzzi. So even if it's a little cooler in the early and late season, it's great swimming here. When the weather is nice, you can swim in the large pool, relax in the jacuzzi and sunbathe on the deck chairs.... For the children, there is a pool with slides and play equipment. A variety of activities for children are organized at the campground. If you're here in July or August, you're in luck. You will then enjoy the Seafood Festival. On Wednesdays you can taste all kinds of delicacies from the Atlantic Ocean. Also on the other days of the week you are welcome in the restaurant L'Endroit. The campsite also has a sports field, a supermarket and you can go there for tasty takeaway meals. The Ile de Ré is known as a cycling island, and bicycles can be rented at the campsite. Within walking distance of the campsite you will also find the largest market on the island, on Boulevard de la Plage. You certainly won't regret this camping vacation!
